- Competitions and the black market:
The popularity of Gemynni and their luxurious status has lead to some unfortunate outcomes however. Some of the rarer Gemynni or Gemynni who have won competitions may be at risk of being kidnapped and held ransom or resold on the black market. There are also shady back-door dealers who may cut corners when creating Gemynni in order to sell them more cheaply. This is why it's important to buy Gemynni from a responsible source, as cutting corners or rushing the creation process can cause issues with them, such as physical deformities, personality disorders or ill-health.
Gemynni have similar lawful rights to animals/children in that they cannot be subject to cruelty, exploitation or neglect in anyway, owners cannot abandon their Gemynni and owners must be responsible for their Gemynni’s actions. Not everyone is completely accepting of Gemynni and some groups even consider their production and ownership unethical.
